Objectives & Outcome
The primary objective of the project was to create an attractive and functional digital environment that effectively showcases the activities of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Lesvos, enhances visitor engagement in cultural events, and highlights the unique museums, archaeological sites, and monuments of the region.
The new website, with its minimalist design and harmonious use of black and white, offers visitors a pleasant and easy-to-navigate experience.
Technological & Design Features
- Minimalist Aesthetic: The design, with its emphasis on white and black, creates an elegant feel and highlights the content effectively.
- User-Friendly Management Environment: A customized management environment makes it easy for the Ephorate to update and enrich the website's content.
- Paragraphs The use of paragraphs allows for the addition of rich content for each point of interest, including photos, videos, maps, brochures, opening hours, and information on tickets and access.
- Mega Menu: The mega menu simplifies navigation by presenting all options categorized for easy access
- Flipbook: The flipbook library provides an engaging way to view PDF files
- Accessibility: The website is designed to be accessible to people with disabilities, adhering to the WCAG AA standard
- Transition Study: A meticulous transition study ensured the preservation of URLs from the old website, maintaining continuity for users.
